Technical Sales Engineer – QUERETARO, QRO. MEXICO
The Technical Sales Engineer is responsible for developing the technical relationship between Visteon Engineering and the associated OEMs. This position requires primary customer interface for technical information up to and including sourcing. This involves pre sourcing, upfront customer specific engineering development work, customer-specific demonstration properties, and technical quote documentation.
Coordinate the quote process: Lead multi-functional global engineering internal team and support customer meetings
Establish and manage quote resources and workload
Quote documentation: ensuring timely completion of quote documentation such as customer TDRs, Engineering Assumption, Manufacturing assumptions, engineering inputs
Manage displays pursuit budget and quote by quote budget
Coordinate deliverables to quote timeline
Ensure process compliance during the quote process
Support customer milestones and ensure compliance to requirements
Manage customer specific demonstration properties
Leadership in problem-solving design issues
Years of Experience: 3+ years of Automotive Electronics Product Launch experience
Degree Strongly Preferred: Bachelor of Science (minimum), in Mechanical Engineering (BSME), Electrical Engineering, or related field with equivalent experience.
Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Good communication skills; verbal and written with global cultural sensitivity
Familiarity with displays technology
Ability to understand, at a high level, hardware, mechanical and software design details
High Level system level analysis
Familiar with Class A surface, styling, displays technology cover films, glass and coatings
A Plus – Experienced in design of injection molded decorative/illuminated plastic components and assemblies including color filters, LED sources, paint, texture, appliqués, light pipes, integrated control panels, finish panels, mechanical switches, knobs, buttons and Haptics
A Plus – understanding high-speed graphics manipulation
Self-motivated with the ability to lead a global team toward a common goal
Special Requirements (i.e. overtime, travel, etc.): Domestic and international travel to internal and customer locations may be required (~10-15%).
