1. Works within a project team to further develop and support production critical applications of the BMW Group at the Plant San Luis Potosí location. 2. Technical support and optimization of the Shopfloor Systems working closely together with the business areas in Plant San Luis Potosí and in Munich. 3. Conceptional support to the business in the further development and new definitions/optimizations of the processes and functionalities. 4. IT focused support of process- and function changes within the releases. 5. Technical analysis and definition of programming requests. 6. Testing the solution as part of development- or rollout projects. 7. User support and training (2nd and 3rd Level Support). 8. Ensure Design for Run for applications within his area of responsibility through the Application Life Cycle.
1. TOEFL or Cambridge First Certificate in English. 2. ITIL v3 Foundation level certification. 3. Deep knowledge in a variety of programming languages (preferably C++, JAVA, JSP, J2EE and SQL) and shell scripting. 4. Deep knowledge of LINUX Command Line. 5. Area/technology experience: Information Technology. 6+ proven years of experience on Shopfloor or MES (Manufacturing Execution System) area of a multinational automotive company, specifically in: System development (programming), Linux Command Line (or similar), working at a query level with Relational databases, mastery of IT Operations tools such as BMC ITSM Suite (or similar) and Knowledge databases. Strong knowledge in configuration management data bases (CMDB) and project management methodologies (waterfall, agile). 3+ proven years of experience on managing IT development/rollout projects. Additional Skills: Experience in leading teams (optional). ITIL v3 Intermediate level certification (optional). PMP (optional). Experience in test-automatization and quality management in software development projects, as in organizing and executing larger test projects. Experience with the SAP Solution Manager. Experience in Process- and Project Management. Experience with Agile methodologies. Ability to work in global teams. Social competency in a multinational and multicultural rapidly changing environment. Independent and self-responsible working method. Decision-making competence. Pronounced travel availability.
